Anxiety disorders are common, more than 1 in 10 people are likely to experience an anxiety disorder at some stage in their life. An anxiety disorder differs from 'normal anxiety' in that it is more severe, long-lasting and interferes with a person's work, relationships and ability to function as usual.
This workshop helps you to develop a basic understanding of anxiety, anxiety disorders and some of the warning signs. It covers:
helpful anxiety versus unhelpful anxiety / normal anxiety vs anxiety disorders
things that make us feel anxious
protecting ourselves against anxiety
tools and resources for managing anxiety
